Stunning #Festival Opener #Harmonium #Edinburgh #edintfest .@edintfest www.henni.photo

Last night, the greatest cultural show on earth launched with a mesmerising spectacle, the Harmonium Project.

John Adams’ Harmonium performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Edinburgh Festival Chorus was set against a stunning projection of light and animations on the outside of the Usher Hall in front of a  crowd hypnotised and delighted in turn.

What a show; what a festival; what a city!

This is the view across the front of the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. When it was refurbished, it was given a glass and metal front that has superb reflections for photography.

Here’s a view of the curved steps of the Usher Hall leading towards the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Traverse was originally in the Grassmarket and moved to this custom built building in 1992. It is well known for the quality of productions it puts on and for the promotion of new works.

Reach For The Sky – Prints Now Available #Edinburgh #Photography #Monochrome #Urban

This image has just been selected for inclusion in the UKVPro Photo Art Collection, which is nice. This means that you can order it as an Acrylic / Aluminium mounted Print at a range of sizes.

From the UKVPro website:
These are very popular at the moment and deservedly so. They produce pictures of extraordinary depth and shine and are the most contemporary way to display your work, ready to hang.

Acrylic face-mounted photographs exude vibrancy and depth. Our products incorporate crystal clear cast acrylic and aluminium composite in one eye catching product. At just 8mm thick, these products create wall art that is simply stunning. All supplied with an aluminium sub-frame on the back with a pre-fitted special hanger, ready to adorn your walls.

Had a wander round a few back alleyways whilst waiting for the bus. There are loads of wee nooks and crannies in Edinburgh and some of them result in a photo opportunity. This is at the back of The Usher Hall – quite a contrast to the classical design of the front.
