Something a bit different from our normal urban stuff, although still within the Edinburgh area. Three friendly horses in a field at Riccarton, although the friendliness was all about potential food. They were deeply disappointed when all I got out of my bag was a lens, as some of these shots show.
A great night of fine curry, craft beers, chat and then a wee cabaret set, hosted by Hardeep Singh Kohli, on Friday night at V Deep. In true Scottish understatement style – they weren’t too bad. I’m not a comedian, as most of you are aware, so I’ll avoid the a Sikh, a Hindu, a Muslim and a McGonagall walk into a bar joke, partly because that’s just factual. The boy Kholi was joined by Imran Yusuf, Papa CJ and yer man Elvis and a good laugh was had by all.
I bumped into Elvis McGonagall in the Gents, as you do, had a chat and then, being a photographer, grabbed some shots of him as we were leaving. Unfortunately, the other guys had already fled the scene, so next next time perhaps.
So, to the photos. Couldn’t just pick one, so here’s a selection for you. That there’s an expressive face…
Once again, a big thanks again to our fine hosts The Roamin’ Nose. It’s #healthkick time at the ‘Nose, so why not get along and try one of their healthy options such as a warm salad with Beetroot, roast baby parsnips, asparagus, artichokes, lentils & goats cheese? Cold? – there’s home made hot soup and it’s tasty. I know, because I test it out on your behalf on a regular basis.
Not fancying something healthy? There’s Barney’s beer, a great selection of moderately priced wines and cocktails. All god for washing down some home made pasta – my favourite when not tempted by a Roamin’ Burger, which is a proper one and gob-smackingly good too.
After eating and drinking, why not buy that nice print you have fancied, but not yet nabbed, before it disappears. It might even be one of those on offer?
