As usual, we’ve been out and about dodging in and around the crowds and rain showers to bring you a flavour of the #EdFringe goings on, following on from Pauls post on the Fourth Monkey Theatre Company actors.
There are lots of characters out there, from locals to visitors to those in one of the myriad shows on at the moment. So far we’ve managed to avoid running into anyone, although brake lights on some of our tourists friends would help avoid potential trouble.
In case you haven’t come a cross them, Safehouse are an Edinburgh based band who play regular gigs around Scotland, specialising in a fantastic blues / rock /psychedelic mix that’ll get you going.
With additional drummer and conga player, they did an Allmans Project set over a few nights as part of the Fringe here in Edinburgh and bloody good it was too. The line-up was Gary Mees, Gary Davidson, Sky Tusk, Ali Petrie, Andrew Stirling, Mike Park, Sean Scott and John Bruce. The latter two being former members of Blues’n’Trouble – previously posted about when they had their 30th anniversary.
So here’s a set of shots we took…
And a couple of out-takes.
First up, demonic eyes in the extra fine keyboard player, Mr Ali Petrie.
And a strange transmogrification occurring – Mr Sky Tusk, yer vocalist extraordinaire.
Another wee set from us taken on The High Street, this time some of the cast of Romanovs, which is by The Livewire Theatre Company.
There’s a review by The British Theatre Guide, if you want to know more.
