As much of Europe was blanketed by fog, we managed to find a few shots on our separate journeys to work. I snapped the twin Scotsman and Carlton Hotels at the end of North Bridge looking like something out of Gormenghast.
I also got a shot of the sign for Princes Mall highlighted by the weak sunlight with The Scott Monument behind it.
A bit further on, shooting up North Bridge, there was a clear contrast between the bottom of the Bridge and the fog wrapping itself round buildings.
Paul meantime, headed off towards the castle (when in doubt…) and got this moody, vaguely Castle like apparition.
On the esplanade, he shot a lonely figure waiting for the Castle to open and also an interesting angular shot of the walls surrounding the moat, as the sun struggled to break through.
